Pressed Earth Pottery
These vases, teapots, platters and plates are made from clay slabs impressed with a variety of objects to create recognizable imprints. They are also painted with earth-tone slips. Most are high fired, but two plates are Raku-style fired. The gear handles are ceramic and coated with metallic glazes. Some found metallic objects, ceramic and glass shards are fired onto plates.
